My Typical Day:
I start work at 9am. I work from home 3 days a week and in the hospital 2 days a week. During my work day I meet with members of my team. I usually eat lunch with my colleagues. Once a week I will see patients. I see around 4 patients in one day for 45 minutes each. We talk about why they have come to see me, the genetic conditions that may be affecting them and the testing we can offer. We talk about their worries and feelings about this information. We make a plan for them moving forward and I write this all down in a letter to send to them after the appointment. I will go home around 5pm.
