The fact that I was learning new things every day! I didn’t like so much studying at home (reading the textbooks and memorising things for exams) but I really liked attending classes. And that’s why becoming a scientist has always excited me, because you’re constantly learning new things.

As Rafael said, I liked learning new things every day and also being able to read more into topics that I decided interested me most. Also meeting lots of new people, and living in a new and exciting city (London)!

When I was in school, I did not always like studying for tests and exams. I liked what I learnt in class and I liked to read widely to find out more, but I did not enjoy studying to prepare for exams. But I knew it was something that I had to do, and I did try to do it well so that I could have the choice to study whatever I liked when I grew up.

However, by the time I went to university, I started to enjoy studying a lot more. Perhaps because I was studying subjects that I really enjoyed best and I realised that studying for learning new things is a lot of fun.
