With the universe being so absolutely massive, I think there’s a very good chance that chemistry has become life somewhere else (probably many places). The chances of us ever coming into contact with that life (or even recognising it) are much smaller though.

This is one of my favourite debates in all of science. I love how many valid explanations and theories there are. So great question!

I believe that the universe is so vast and so full of places where life could potentially develop that its virtually impossible that there isn’t life out there somewhere. Check out the Drake equation if you’re interested.

BUT, I don’t believe Alien life has ever visited earth, and perhaps it never will. Check out the Fermi Paradox.

I believe that extraterrestrial life is possible. However, any alien life form might be very simple (similar to our microorganisms), not evolved yet to be able to communicate, already extinct or too far away to ever reach.

Yes definitly; atfer it is not sure that we will be able to find then.

I think there is every possibility that extra-terrestrial life might exist somewhere, in some corner of our enormous universe. Perhaps made up of similar elements as us or perhaps based on an entirely different chemistry. I also think we are far far away from making any kind of contact with any aliens or even getting any evidence that they exist. But we can always imagine and dream, can’t we?

Definitely yes! It would be narrow-minded thinking that we are the only life in this huge Universe. This doesn’t mind that that life is like us; probably completely different. To be honest this is something that has always aroused my curiosity…

Absolutely! But i think it is very different to life as we know it

Based on chance alone, I think it is so much more likely that there is life somewhere else than not.

There is a great show on Netflix called Alien Worlds that explores what extraterrestrial life might actually look like from a biological evolution point of view

I believe it is possible, but very unlikely that we will ever find it – I do not believe any reports of ET life so far.

YES OF COURSE!! I love this question haha! The universe is HUGE with so many planets, we can’t be the only ones out here can we?

I actually enjoy reading up and watching the many different theories and “sightings” there are on extraterrestrial life 🙂

I love the idea that other forms of life exist elsewhere in the universe – and I think given it’s size surely they’re out there somewhere!

My boyfriend loves reading up on anything to do with aliens, especially conspiracy theories that they’ve visited our planet already. I’m a bit more sceptical about reported sightings but it’s fun to imagine anyway 🙂
